International presenters via teleconferencing (e.g., Skype) will be considered. MissionThe cross-section of religious studies and development studies is this Group’s focus. We wish to support research that is applied and field-based. This may include the colonial, theological, and missionary background of the global confluence of international development with indigenous and Western religions, or investigate current projects. The primary objective is to establish the focus of an ongoing discussion that engages the relevant areas of the academy. A second related objective is to bring scholars from “outside” the AAR into this discussion. As such, we hope to strongly encourage the AAR to engage international scholars from across the disciplines of humanities and social sciences.
