This is just a gentle reminder that the Upper Midwest Regional meeting is fast approaching! You can now register online.

The officers of the Upper Midwest Region of the American Academy of Religion, the Society of Biblical Literature, and the American Schools of Oriental Research are pleased to announce the program for the annual regional meeting.

The AAR plenary speaker is Diana Eck, professor of comparative religion and Indian studies at Harvard University. The SBL plenary speaker is Laura S. Nasrallah, professor of New Testament and early Christianity at Harvard University, who will deliver a lecture entitled "On the Market (in Roman Corinth): Economics, Archaeology, and Theology in Biblical Studies."

The regional organizations of the AAR and SBL are pleased to announce a pilot program to mentor female faculty. Based on feminist principles of cooperative work and shared experience, pairs of faculty will be matched in order to provide mutual support and strategies for career development.
