Panels that are in the traditional two-and-a-half-hour format are welcome, but we also encourage applicants to propose panels in the new ninety-minute format. This can take the form of a mini-panel or a symposium on a particular text, author, or pedagogy. Prearranged panel and paper session proposals have a much better chance of getting accepted than individual paper proposals. Underscoring that Confucianism is not just a Chinese phenomenon, we would also like to encourage people working on Confucian topics outside of China to send in proposals. MissionThis Group is committed to the study of the diversity of religious traditions associated with Confucius. We embrace historical, philosophical, and dialogical approaches, and are not located in any single country or discipline. Anonymity of Review ProcessProposals are anonymous to Chairs and Steering Committee Members until after final acceptance or rejection. Questions?Yong Huang Thomas A. Wilson Method of Submission |
