BART (Public Transportation)
San Francisco International Airport (SFO)The BART station at SFO is located in the International Terminal, Boarding Area G side, on the Departures/Ticketing level. If you are coming in through any other terminal, you can take the free AirTrain directly to the BART station. Follow the signs to AirTrain, and then board the train headed to the Garage G/BART Station stop. When you arrive, take the escalator down to the departures level and walk straight ahead to the BART station. Terminals 1, 2, and 3 are approximately a one- to three-minute AirTrain ride to the BART station. For more information, visit the BART website. Oakland International Airport (OAK)To reach the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART Station, you’ll need to ride the AirBART shuttle, which picks up in front of Terminal 1 and 2 (Southwest Airlines) and will then drop you off at the BART station. It runs approximately every ten minutes, and the trip takes fifteen minutes. The fare is $3.00 one-way, and is payable in cash (exact change only). Once you reach the BART station, there are vending machines in the airport location, some of which accept credit cards. The fare to the stations listed below is $3.80 one-way. To Downtown San Francisco on BARTBoard the Pittsburg/Bay Point (yellow line) train to one of the downtown San Francisco stations that are an easy walk or short cab ride to most San Francisco hotels.
Shared-ride VansShared-ride vans provide service between SFO and passenger-specified locations. Depending on the number of passengers, shared-ride vans may make multiple stops. Van service is available on a walk-up basis. However, passengers are advised to make reservations for service after 11:00 pm. Shared-ride vans pick up passengers on the Departures/Ticketing Level from the roadway center island at all terminals. Information about various shared-ride vans can be found here. TaxisSan Francisco International AirportTaxis depart from the designated taxi zones located at the roadway center islands, on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim Level of all terminals. Fares between the airport and downtown are approximately $37. Metered rates apply to all destinations. Oakland International AirportTaxis can be reached from the third curb of Terminal 1 and the second curb from Terminal 2. They average a $65 fare to downtown San Francisco. San José International AirportTaxis are accessible from both Terminals A and B. They average $145 fare to downtown San Francisco. |
