This is just a gentle reminder that the Midwest Regional meeting is fast approaching! You can now register online.

This year's MAAR features:

  • Great papers, great collegiality, and great food! The $65 registration fee includes two receptions, a continental breakfast, and luncheon.

  • Featured guest speaker Edward Curtis VI, whose plenary address is entitled "Teaching Religion after 9/11: On Religious Violence, Public Scholarship, and My Cameo in the 'Ground Zero Mosque' Controversy"

  • Free childcare upon request as well as rooms for nursing mothers to nurse and/or to pump.

  • Downtown Holiday Inn hotel (conference hotel), which is in the heart of Rock Island's "District." Good music scene and walkable downtown.
